Join the Skokie Heritage Museum for a fascinating historical program exploring the powerful influence of the Declaration of Independence on women throughout American history.
On Sunday, March 22 from 2–3 p.m., attorney Michele Honora Thorne will discuss how the ideals expressed in the Declaration of Independence inspired women beginning at the time of its writing nearly 250 years ago and continuing through the modern era.
This engaging presentation will highlight how women have interpreted and used the Declaration’s promise of equality to advocate for rights, opportunity, and social change across generations. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the role these foundational ideals played in shaping movements for women’s equality and civic participation.
This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Guests are encouraged to reserve their spot in advance.
